Germany Guest of Honor, 2022
In May 2022, Germany has presented itself as a host country at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair in UAE with the theme „German Stories“. Three „Future Beacons“ characterise the design. As signposts, they offer orientation in the real space of the exhibition stand. As laboratories for the future, they encompass the central locations of the stand: the stage for the cultural programme, the central orgadesk for publishers and authors and a children‘s area with exciting activities for the youngest visitors. Shine and glow characterise the outside of the beacons. They are covered with sequin fabrics and are used, painted on the spot by the illustrators painted on site.
